Check out the latest projects, closures and updates to be aware of before visiting Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region.
Starting in September 2024, construction of a new waterline through Garden of the Gods Park will impact access to the main Central Gardens. The park will remain open to welcome visitors, with plenty of trail and detour options. This project will carry into spring 2025.
Main takeaways to know are:
1. The park will remain open for the duration of the project.
2. This project will enhance our National Natural Landmark park, providing better access for fire mitigation and park safety, improved accessible parking, more accessible routes and improved restroom facilities.
3. The Gateway Trail from Juniper Way Loop to the Central Garden will be closed throughout construction. However, detours are set in place to access Central Garden.
