Victor, Colorado – the City of Gold Mines – is a small, well-preserved historic mining town just 45 minutes from Colorado Springs near Cripple Creek. It sits at nearly 10,000 feet in elevation with great nearby trails, shops and activities. Looking for a fun day trip? Here are our recommendations for visiting Victor!
An exciting new addition to the town, Rita the Rock Planter sculpture (built by artist Thomas Dambo) is a must see. You can find Rita by heading out to the Little Grouse Mountain trail, which offers a 1.9-mile loop (though you’ll come across Rita much sooner).
