We've carved out some of the best patches in the region so you can pick the best pumpkin from the lot.
Break out the flannels and pour yourself a warm cup of apple cider – autumn has arrived in the Pikes Peak region and we are NOT complaining. There are plenty of fall activities to partake in, but one of our favorites is pumpkin picking with a gorgeous mountain view as your backdrop. From hayrides to corn mazes, below are some of the best pumpkin patches in the region.
Take the more authentic experience and grab your pumpkin from an animal farm. Wishing Star Farm is one of the largest petting zoos in Colorado and is only 25 minutes from Colorado Springs. Enjoy a petting zoo, hay ride, barrel train ride, jumping pillow, hay slide, hay pyramid, kids town, fire truck, tire swings, sandboxes, corn bins, duck races, horseshoes, corn hole, roping dummies, pallet maze, frisbee golf (3 holes), yard games and so much more!
Nick and Bambi Venetucci dreamed of a farm where families could come pick out a pumpkin. Thousands of children over multiple generations have come to the farm for that very reason. Keep the tradition alive in your family for more generations to come! Head to Venetucci Farm every weekend in October to experience this local, fall tradition. Choose a pumpkin, go on a hay ride, pick your own flowers, play some games, visit the farm animals, buy some local art and more!
Open every Saturday in October, Miner’s Pumpkin Patch features fun family activities like cornhole, ladder ball, a giant slide, pumpkin catapult, pumpkin smashing and a hay maze. Experience using a vintage apple cider press, encounter animals and go for a hayride that the whole family will love. Afterward, try gold panning, watch mining machine demonstrations and get some fresh produce from the farmer's stand. There will be food trucks and live music, so you won't want to miss it!
By visiting this patch, you’ll also be directly supporting the Western Museum of Mining & Industry.
Make sure to bring your camera! Long Neck Pumpkin Farm has amazing photo ops nestled throughout the patch. And don't forget the hayrides, hay slide, duck races and tractor swings! From slingshot games to farm animals, there’s no shortage of fun here.
Pick up your pumpkin from Colorado Pumpkin Patch! Only 20 minutes north of Colorado Springs, this patch is unique due to its laser tag and 30-foot jumping pad. Other highlights include: human foosball, farm animal petting areas, football training camp, baseball throwing lane, steer head roping and more. For an additional cost, the kids can ride a pony and get their faces painted!

There's also plenty of fun activities like the Hay Bale Slide, Corn Pit, Knee High Tires and yard games. Roast marshmallows at the fire pits, meet baby goats and take endless photos with pumpkins and hand-painted displays.
