Overview

Ute Pass was used as a trail between the prairies and the mountains by the Ute people, who depended on the resources to support their nomadic lifestyle. In the 1860s, the Ute trail became a wagon road connecting Colorado City to the mining camp of Leadville.

There are two wheelchair accessible cabins, each with an accessible restroom. The gift shop/office building is accessible, but there is not an accessible restroom. The three buildings that are accessible are owned by the City of Woodland Park.
