CC Summer Music Festival: Stravinsky's The Soldier's Tale

Event Summary
Directing the production is Colorado College Professor Emeritus Thomas Lindblade, who has assembled an incredible cast of stage performers to bring the composer's 1918 work based on a Russian folk tale to life. Longtime actor, director and coach Nike Doukas will play the role of the devil. Leo Marks, with numerous credits in theatre, film, and television, has been cast as the soldier. Jane Kaczmarek, best known as the mom in "Malcom in the Middle," along with numerous other television roles, will be the narrator. Ballet instructor and performer Prentiss Benjamin rounds out the cast as the princess.
Musicians will be led by Festival conductor Scott Yoo. Performers include CC Summer Music Festival Faculty Artists as well as guest musicians: Sergei Vassiliev, clarinet; Michael Kroth, bassoon; Jean Laurenz, trumpet; John Rojak, trombone; Aaron Turner, percussion; Steven Copes, violin; Susan Cahill, bass.
