NEW DATE - Great Fruitcake Toss

Join us as we toss fruitcakes during the 30th annual Great Fruitcake Toss presented by Visit Manitou Springs and Collin Street Bakery!

There will be 4 competitions to test your fruitcake sporting abilities! Distance, balance, accuracy, and the new BasketCake will challenge your fruitcake skills. If you were fortunate enough to receive a fruitcake over the holidays, we encourage you to bring your own cake to toss for $1 at each competition. If not, borrow one of ours for $5 and you get 4 tosses included. The fruitcakes will be located at each station for your use.

Outside fruitcakes for tossing must weigh 1 lb, be rectangular in shape, and contain glaceed fruits and/or nuts and flour. They cannot contain anything inedible. Fruitcakes will not be taste tested, but must be visible to be examined by the “Fruitcake Tech Inspectors” upon arrival and must pass the criteria.

Additional throws are available for $1 each, but entrants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Manitou Springs Community Food Pantry. Each canned item equals one event ticket, with a max of 10 tickets per family.

We welcome back Cool Science again this year with their catapult making station, along with Pikes Peak Library District with fruitcake rock painting!
