The Jeremy Facknitz Band with Angel Corsi
April 30, 2025 8:00 PM –10:00 PM
Event Summary
The Jeremy Facknitz Band performs for the first time in over 6 months at Millibo Art Theatre.
Angel Corsi (https://angelcorsi.com/) opens.
Jeremy Facknitz's music is a throwback to when singer-songwriters weren't afraid to turn it up loud, look you in the eye and play more than the same tired four chords. He embodies the soul of an old-time troubadour, but bitten by a radioactive rockstar and smitten with jazz and musical theatre. When he's not on the road, the Michigan native calls Colorado Springs home - and when he's here, he's often joined by his world-class band featuring David Siegel (violin), Ricky Sweum (sax), Mike Kimlicko (bass), Brad Plesz (drums) and John Standish (keys). John Apice of American Highways says "This is all far above the ordinary. The 6-member band are the chefs in a musical kitchen – each recipe conjured tastefully... A good time is guaranteed for all" while John Barlass at At The Barrier writes "Jeremy Facknitz is, indeed, a major talent – and, I can guarantee, like nothing you’ll have ever heard before."

Angel Corsi is a BIPOC folk/soul artist and former pugilist fighting for his people.
The Colorado-based songwriter's style takes the listeners through contemplative vignettes of humans that have to navigate a range of topics such as, "belonging", "childhood trauma", "forgiving yourself", "systemic and politically charged oppression" and "finding true love" in all of it's forms. Angel says "I think the role of an artist is to find the "resistance," the "wall," and break through that or at very least shine a light on it."
