Event Summary
Larry Obermesik, retired IT manager turned historian shares his passion for uncovering Colorado’s early historical records. Until recently, land claim records were thought to have been lost in time. In this presentation we’ll explore discovery and significance of the historic El Paso Claim Club record books—dating back to the late 1850s—and reveal new information about the activities of some of Old Colorado City’s legendary founders.
