Event Summary
Aaron Lade: Time Reimagined
Lade is a local creative who specializes in fanciful narrative works, depicting a wide range of subject matter spanning skyscapes, creatures, people, surrealistic images, and beyond.
From the artist: Life takes an interesting, unforeseen course. I’ve been drawing and dabbling in painting since I was a kid and still believe my drawing skills surpass my painting. Aside from any skill, years of poorly allocated time and unimpressive choices, art took a back seat. It wasn’t explored, developed or fully realized. Yet, as life is unpredictable, I was blessed with the chance to reassess what I was doing with my time. I began digging into any artistic talents hibernating in my heart and mind. Now, my art and its growth occupy much of the time I once wasted. I am deeply grateful for the support of God, Kimberly, and Cottonwood’s calls for art, which have helped beyond measure. While it’s difficult to avoid having a style, I do my best. I would rather create something people love than something they recognize.
To the question of being an artist, all I can say is…I’m trying to be.
