New Staff, Board Members join the Colorado Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau
Colorado Springs, CO – September 21, 2017 – The Colorado Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau announces the following hires and staff title changes:
Dina Chiaravalloti has filled the Group Services Coordinator position. Chiaravalloti has a background in business development, corporate account management and vendor relations. Originally from Florida, she moved from Raleigh, North Carolina to Colorado Springs in 2016. She holds a BS from the University of Central Florida. She will be responsible for providing servicing to all group markets as well as coordinating and assisting with class and family reunions, day meetings, holiday parties, student and youth groups and weddings. .
Julia Palomino has been appointed as the new Communications Coordinator of the CVB. Palomino was previously with the Downtown Las Cruces Partnership and comes from a background in communications and event planning. Prior to communications work, she spent several years volunteering and working with nonprofits and the Ronald McDonald House charity. A southern New Mexico native, Julia enjoys yoga, rock climbing and green chile. At the CVB, Palomino is responsible for social media outreach and driving awareness for the Pikes Peak region.
Bonnie Singleton has been appointed as the new Marketing Coordinator at the CVB with a background in corporate communications in the food, beverage and entertainment industries. Singleton has previous experience in local and national public relations and social media, and has a BA in Mass Communication. Singleton’s previous work experience includes Corporate Communications and Marketing Manager for Tucanos Brazilian Grill and their ten locations. She moved to Colorado Springs from Wisconsin in 2013 and has since fully embraced the Colorado way of life. She will be responsible for marketing outreach and assisting the Marketing Manager and the Chief Innovation Officer.
Kelly Gorman, formerly Partnership Coordinator, has filled the newly created position of Account Clerk. Gorman joined the CVB in January 2015 with a background in non-profit organizations and higher education. She will provide support for the CFO, Jim Cassidy.
Denise Noble, formerly Marketing Coordinator, has filled the position of Partnership Coordinator. Noble joined the CVB in April 2012 from Current. She will provide support for the Partnership Development Director.
The Colorado Tourism Office named Melissa Williams, CVB Marketing Manager, among the inaugural class for the Colorado Tourism Leadership Journey, a brand-new, yearlong executive training program aimed at building the state tourism industry’s bench strength. The Class of 2018 includes 20 participants from tourism settings as diverse as Expedia, YMCA of the Rockies and the National Park Service. Their yearlong experience will begin at the Colorado Governor’s Tourism Conference Oct. 25-27 in Grand Junction.
Kimberly Tebrugge has joined the CVB’s board of directors. Tebrugge is a global communications executive with proven leadership in organizations at Fortune 500, Headquarters Air Force and military combatant command levels and currently serves at the United States Air Force Academy. She is an energetic team builder who loves to solve real business problems. Prior to her current position, she was Vice President of Communications, Marketing and Brand Strategy for CH2M, a global Fortune 500 engineering, consulting and construction firm earning $7 Billion in gross revenue annually.
