Pikes Peak Region Featured on Samantha Brown’s Places to Love

Colorado Springs, Colo. – February 9, 2022 – Colorado Springs – Olympic City USA will soon be the latest destination featured on Samantha Brown’s Places to Love. The episode, sponsored by Visit Colorado Springs as part of our mission to bring economic vitality to the Pikes Peak Region, is already airing around the country and will air on Rocky Mountain PBS on Saturday, February 19.
Places to Love is dedicated to seeking out the little-known spots and haunts where small business owners create a unique experience for locals and visitors alike.
“There was a lot of hard work and planning that went into this shoot,” said Amy Long, Chief Innovation Officer at Visit Colorado Springs. “We had so much fun showing the crew around the Pikes Peak Region, and we’re excited to bring more national awareness to our destination.”
The filming and production of this episode, originally set for 2020, was pushed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was able to take place safely in July of 2021. Brown and her crew visited businesses and attractions around the Pikes Peak Region, including everything from some of our top attractions to locally owned food and beverage spots.
Featured places include The Broadmoor, The Broadmoor Manitou and Pikes Peak Cog Railway, the Pikes Peak Summit Visitor Center, the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum, Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center, Garden of the Gods Park, Manitou Springs, Colorado Ski Chairs, the Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center, Lucky Dumpling and Atrevida Beer Co.
