Visit Colorado Springs Announces Board and Executive Team Changes
Learn the latest about VCOS’ staff and board leadership
Colorado Springs, Colo. – February 3, 2025 – Today, Visit Colorado Springs announced updates to the organization’s leadership.
“We are excited to begin this year with new and returning Board Members who are dedicated to supporting and advancing our destination’s tourism and hospitality industries,” said VCOS Board Chair Gus Krimm.
As of the new year, the organization welcomed five new Board Members:
- Dani Bolling, Colorado Springs Chamber and EDC
- Christina Haywood, Garden of the Gods Foundation
- Rob Henderson, Space Foundation
- Dan LeClerc, Ent Credit Union
- Dr. Cary Snow, Pikes Peak State College
- Board Chair Gus Krimm, The Mining Exchange
- Vice-Chair Megan Leatham, Colorado Springs Sports Corp
- Treasurer Marisa Wigglesworth, U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum
- Secretary Ed Okvath, SpringHill Suites/Element
VCOS also made several changes to its executive leadership team over the last year. Amy Long, previously Chief Innovation Officer, became Chief Development Officer. She now oversees the organization’s Partnership, Visitor Services and International departments.
Melissa Williams, Director of Marketing, and Alexea Veneracion, Director of Communications, both joined the executive team and oversee the Marketing and Communications departments. Their sectors include advertising, website and SEO, public relations and social media.
After the retirement of former VP of Sales Kathy Reak in late 2024, Lee Reijgers joined the executive team as the new VP of Sales. You can read more about Lee’s background here.
