Colorado Springs, Colo. – July 31, 2019 – Visit Colorado Springs announces a dedicated transparency resource page on VisitCOS.com. As the official marketing organization for the City of Colorado Springs, and experts for the Pikes Peak region, VCOS’ goal is to provide deeper insight into its public service and programs.
Accredited through the Destinations International Destination Management Accreditation Program with distinction, VCOS provides professional governance, operations and support. DMAP states that transparency remains a primary issue for all organizations, and VCOS will always provide detailed information to its primary funder, the City of Colorado Springs. With other public entities providing funding, along with 500 partners, the organization now extends this transparency to all stakeholders.
VCOS creates economic vitality through memorable visits to the wonders of Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region. “Our funding comes from both public and private sources. We are committed to complete, transparency in how we are funded, how invest those funds, how we operate programs and the results that we achieve,” said VCOS President and CEO Doug Price.
