Visit Colorado Springs Awarded 2025 Tourism Marketing Grant
Grant will fund a Pikes Peak Region Neighborhoods Project
October 30, 2024 – Colorado Springs, Colo. – Today, Visit Colorado Springs was awarded a 2025 Tourism Marketing Grant through the Colorado Tourism Office.
Visit Colorado Springs received $40,000, which will fund a strategic multimedia project that will highlight various neighborhoods and towns across the Pikes Peak Region, dubbed the Pikes Peak Region Neighborhoods Project. The campaign aims to increase awareness of lesser-known spots to help combat overcrowding and showcase year-round adventure.
“In Colorado Springs, we have so many pockets of neighborhoods each with their unique charm and history,” said Alexea Veneracion, Director of Communications at VCOS. “Multiply that by all the other small towns and areas that make up the Pikes Peak Region, and there is so much that visitors and locals have yet to uncover. This project will bring awareness to 26 different neighborhoods and towns throughout the region that are ripe for exploration.”
Deliverables will include high-quality video and photo assets, social media content, blog content for VisitCOS.com and sponsored media placements.
The Pikes Peak Region Neighborhoods Project will encompass areas throughout Colorado Springs, Monument, Palmer Lake, Calhan, Manitou Springs, Green Mountain Falls, Cascade, Woodland Park, Divide, Florissant, Cripple Creek, Victor, Florence, Penrose and Cañon City.
The Tourism Marketing Grant program awards funding to eligible applicants for projects that promote the state as a tourism destination, supporting CTO’s mission to “empower the tourism industry by inspiring the world to explore Colorado responsibly and respectfully.” Additionally, these grants may be used for marketing projects that support destination stewardship such as educating visitors on how to recreate responsibly. Project work will begin in January 2025 and will spur future economic development and growth for the tourism industry throughout the year and beyond.
