Visit Colorado Springs Celebrates 2022 National Travel and Tourism Week
From May 1-7, get tips on sustainable tourism and special discounts
April 28, 2022 – Colorado Springs, Colo. – Starting May 1, Visit COS is joining the U.S. Travel Association in celebrating National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW).
Every year, the tourism industry rallies together the first week of May for NTTW. From economic growth to personal wellbeing, travel has major positive impacts, not just for travelers, but for residents as well. This year’s national theme for NTTW is “The Future of Travel.” This theme elevates how the travel industry can restore the workforce, help communities recover, foster sustainability, usher in new innovations and reconnect travelers in the U.S. and around the world.
“The future of travel is many things – innovative, inclusive, accessible. And of great importance – sustainable,” said Doug Price, President and CEO of Visit COS. “We have to do our part as local residents, visitors and businesses to protect our resources and destination so we all can enjoy them for years to come.”
Each day of the week, Visit COS is sharing tips and resources across social channels that relate to sustainable travel and responsible recreation. For the duration of the week, Visit COS is partnering with PikeRide to offer free trips. Visitors and locals can use the code “CELEBRATECO” to get one free trip up to 20 minutes long from May 1-8.
