World of Wearable Art Piece Viewable at Visitor Information Center
"Vicarious" Art Piece Now on Display
Colorado Springs, Colo. ─ July 25, 2019 ─ “Vicarious,” a finalist garment from the World of WearableArt™ Awards Show, created by designer Etainia Dagda who grew up in Colorado Springs and graduated from Palmer High School and the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, is now on display inside the Colorado Springs Visitor Information Center.
Each year, WOW™ invites designers to create the unimaginable, to challenge the conventional, and defy creative expectations as they make works of art that will be brought to life on a global stage at the annual awards show. The WOW™ International Touring Exhibition, now on display at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts at Center at Colorado College through September 22, showcases 32 award-winning garments from the annual event held in New Zealand.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to stop in the Visitor Information Center, located at 515 South Cascade Avenue, through 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 31.
